That was a nice first HDNet Fights event, Reckless Abandon, you had last December.
You had some good fights and some recognizable fighters, including Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Frank Trigg, Pete Spratt and others. The relative success had to be encouraging, heading into your second event and looking to build another solid event.
This second event, scheduled for Feb. 15, was only a tentative date. You want to improve the card, and what promoter doesn’t want to put out the best lineup of fights possible?
But here’s where you start to get a little coy with us, Mark. You’re waiting on “contractual clarification on one fighter.” Gosh, who’s having contractual issues at the moment? It’s got to be The King of Rock and Rumble, Elvis Sinosic. No? How about Danny Abbadi? Does he have an exclusive deal under another promotion?
By the way, a little bird told me you recently participated in a charity poker tournament held by Randy Couture. That probably didn’t mean anything, though. Anything for the troops, right Mark?
And didn’t your HDNet network carry the New Year’s Eve M-1 event? Partnering with them gives you some original programming for your channel and needed exposure for a small promotion. It’s a win-win. There were some nice fighters on that card too, including one Fedor Emelianenko.
Those are a couple nice relationships to build on, Mark. I, for one, am looking forward to your next HDNet Fights live event, whenever it may be.

PW..Mark Cuban is the X factor in the MMA equation this year..for sure. He had some good fights.. at the end of 2007. I also like Inside MMA.
