Mark Cuban’s HDNetFights has secured another partnership to provide live fights, this time with Strikeforce. HDNetFights has agreed to air four Strikeforce events beginning with Strikeforce at the Dome on Feb. 23 in Tacoma, Wash. The main event of the 9-fight card features a superheavyweight clash between Bob “The Beast” Sapp and Jan “The Giant” Nortje. Strikeforce also has the Frank Shamrock-Cung Le fight in March, but there is no word as of yet whether HDNetFights has the broadcast rights.
In a thinly veiled shot across UFC’s bough, HDNetFights will also air the debut fight of Kim Couture, wife of Randy “The Natural” Couture. This boxing/muay thai smoker event will take place at the Xtreme Couture Gym in Las Vegas on Feb. 29. It will air immediately after the live IFL event. The card features eight fights consisting of three two-minute rounds.
